• ER6 vs ER4 -- The main difference between the ER6 and the ER4 is the full range responses on the high and low ends. The ER4's do a better job reproducing the sonics of bass and vocals. The ER6's however represent a steller value considering they reproduce about 75% of the quality of ER4's, whatever your decision - whether it be the 4's or the 6's they represent the best audiophile quality earphones in the world.
  
  
• 4P vs. 4S -- When choosing between the 4P and the 4S in our opinion, nothing beats a portable amp and a 4S in terms of portable sound quality. You're going to get a much better output going with the portable amp. Remember, the converter changes the 4P to match a 4S EXACTLY, so that also means it converts the sensitivity as well. You will lose the "punch" of your music (the same as if you go with the 4S). The 4P's sound quality is just a tad below the 4S, though it really depends on the individual. We have done blind tests and can discern the slight nuances between the two. So in the end it really depends on your own musical sense. If you're going for pure unadulterated musical fidelity, go with the 4S and a portable amp. If your willing to spare some quality over the convenience of not having to lug a portable amp around go with the 4P.
